    Five years ago, Enzo and Gabby dreamed of their HEA. When the General, Gabby’s dad, got wind of their relationship he threatened to ruin Enzo’s chance to become a member of the Special Forces—his dream. So, Gabby pushed him away. Enzo was devastated and left pining for a woman he’s always loved and never forgotten. While on leave, he hears that Gabby’s dad was murdered and her son was kidnapped. Even though he doesn’t want to face Gabby again, he can’t NOT help her. He and his team spring into action. Will Enzo be able to forgive Gabby when secrets are revealed? A true page turner! Although the characters in this novel enlist The Colorado Brotherhood Protectors group, Enzo and his team are not members. Gabby sought out help from her girlfriends who have significant others who are members of the Brotherhood Protectors. The two teams work together to find a killer and kidnapper before it’s too late. I felt this novel had more action, suspense than other novels in the series. It was fast-paced, but not rushed. If you enjoy romantic suspense with HEA, I highly recommend this novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

    Colorado Conspiracy is the next installment of the Colorado branch of the Brotherhood Protectors, and as the rest, it does NOT disappoint. Sgt. Major Lorenzo “Enzo” Ramos & Gabby Ryan were together and in love until her father, General Ryan, threatened to ruin his Army Special Forces career unless she broke it off. Unbeknownst to Enzo, she was pregnant. Enzo runs into the General and Jamie, his grandson, in the park, and the General has done an about face, then they part ways. Later that day Gabby is on the phone with her Dad and hears him killed and her son kidnapped. Enzo, just home from a bad deployment where he lost a teammate, sees the news story on TV and calls. He, his team and the Brotherhood Protectors get together to help Gabby figure out what is going on and find Jamie before he too is killed. This is a definite fast-paced page-turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Elle James has outdone herself!
