  • This book ruins the series

I loved the first 3 books of the selection. However, this book failed to reach those standards. Although the main character is heavily inspired by her mother, she is much more annoying and self entitled. In addition the story itself wasn’t very original and almost felt like a direct copy of the first 3 books.Honestly, I’m very disappointed in this book. I wish the author wrote about America and Maxon instead.

I love this book so much I can honestly say I’ve never read a book that broke my heart and make it turn into mush in the same book. It’s either one or the other. Also can relate the main character eadlyn in the good ways and the bad. So definitely on my favorite reads of this year

Honestly, I didn’t read the book all the way though but what I’m going to say is this the main character ruins the series a little. She might have picked up the traits from her mother but America grew up as we know a 5 and had rough times. Her daughter is a princess and is just a brat. I’m sorry but it wasn’t in my opinion even good enough to read though.

I read the America and Maxon books and was excited to see the selection process from a female prospective and from the other side but I couldn’t even finish the book because I hated the main character so much. She had practically no redeeming qualities. She is self centered, arrogant, and a brat. The way the book was written made it seem like the main character had never talked to her parents in any serious capacity, she knew barely anything about their lives or feelings. It’s written almost as if she just met them. Overall, I could get over a poorly written book if the story is encapsulating but it was just boring and lifeless.
