    i read this book for the first time when i was 13. it’s 100% one of the best books i’ve ever read, and i still love it to this day. it’s a great read for fans of the hunger game who love closed door romance books. perfect for high school girls. kierra cass did an amazing job! definitely read this!

    I liked this. The tone was light and made for an easy read. In the course of five days, I got through this book and half of the next one, and it didn’t even feel like I was reading! The books are a good size too, but it was so well written that I didn’t notice. The only thing that surprised me about this series is that it takes three books to know who the winner of the selection is. I would have thought it was done in the first book. After all, The Bachelor chooses at the end of the season. However, while this sounds drawn out, it doesn’t feel that way reading it. The timeline makes sense once you’re into it, and it makes for great character development.

    I read this because someone I used to hang out with has read this trilogy many times when we were in middle/high school. It’s not my usual pick but I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I wasn’t so interested in it that I just HAD to finish it and start the next one but interesting enough that when I’d take a break I’d come back to it shortly after. While I do feel some parts were just repetitive and more could’ve been done, and some of the names are outright ridiculous, I did genuinely enjoy this book, and will be finishing the trilogy. I just hope the next two have a little something more.

    SO GOOD! I got this for a vacation in Arizona and at first I was kind of bored of it but it got so good! (I am not kidding when I say that I walked through a Walgreens in Arizona reading this book.) This book follows America Singer who is basically plucked out of poverty and put into a competition to win the heart of a prince. IT’S INCREDIBLE!!! This whole series is like a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 star read for me, it is absolutely amazing!

    before you read the rest of this review BUY THIS BOOK trust me you won’t regret it this book has everything you would want in a romance yet somehow there’s still fantasy! i normally won’t read fantasy of any kind but kiera has changed that opinion and now i’m more open to reading fantasy books/novels. the characters were so fun and interesting. mini spoiler ahead! i loved how this book was set in the future! if you love a cozy little romance/fantasy novel this is the book for you. this series is a little challenging to get into but by the fourth chapter i was intrigued. the great thing about this series is the fact that there are so many books in the series so if you want more there is a good four books after this one. (plus a novella) i hope you read this book and enjoy as much as i did!
