Description

It’s a tale as old as time: the bad boy meets the good girl. He makes a daring proposition. Then the boy gets a mysterious head injury and loses a year of his life…
The first time I meet Rickie, I don’t know what to make of him. The second time we meet, he doesn’t remember the six hours we spent together. Or standing me up afterward.
I’m not the same, either. I’ve got secrets. I’ve told lies. Bad boys aren’t my type, anyway. Even the ones with seductive gray eyes.
But now we’re roommates. Cue the awkward moments in the hallway when he’s wearing only a towel and a smile. He’s determined to win me over, and his talented hands weaken my resolve.
It’s all fun and games until my past rears its ugly head and his secrets come to light, shaking our fragile connection, maybe even breaking it…
Note: this is Daphne Shipley's story. Contents include Vermonty ice cream flavors, nerdy awkwardness, tattoos, and a playboy grandpa.

Still haven’t found a True North book I have’t loved. Daphne and Rickie’s story was no exception! I admired Rickie’s confidence and his upbeat outlook on life in spite of what happened to him. This was one of the more interesting stories in the series, and so intricately woven. I loved diving back into the Shipley/Rossi family and their incredible dynamic! *I received an ARC prior to release in exchange for my honest review.

I’m in awe of the ride this, brother’s best friend second chance tale. Daphne. The feels misunderstood and reeling from a bad situation Shipley. Dylan’s twin Rickie. Dylan’s roommate and BFF. Dealing with his own trauma. He doesn’t remember meeting daphne. But daphne remember meeting him. And oh the hurt. The depth this book goes is phenomenal. It touches some serious subjects and I am here for it. I. Adored. This. Highly recommend.

My obsession with Sarina Bowen and the Shipley Family grows with every book. Zachary Webber is the perfect Ricky: insanely confident, funny, and emotionally vulnerable. His narration completely brought Ricky to life and when the big twist came, I was a sobbing mess. Callie Dalton is Daphne Shipley, complex, a little mysterious, and a lot brave. These two break your heart but their story is amazing and beautiful. I’ll never get enough of the Shipley family!
