“Fans of The Da Vinci Code rejoice! Professor Robert Langdon is again solving the mysteries of the universe.” —People

“A life-or-death adventure.” —Entertainment Weekly

Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology, arrives at the ultramodern Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend the unveiling of a discovery that “will change the face of science forever.” The evening’s host is Edmond Kirsch, a forty-year-old billionaire and futurist, and one of Langdon’s first students.

But the meticulously orchestrated evening suddenly erupts into chaos, and Kirsch’s precious discovery teeters on the brink of being lost forever. Facing an imminent threat, Langdon is forced to flee. With him is Ambra Vidal, the elegant museum director who worked with Kirsch. They travel to Barcelona on a perilous quest to locate a cryptic password that will unlock Kirsch’s secret.

Navigating the dark corridors of hidden history and extreme religion, Langdon and Vidal must evade an enemy whose all-knowing power seems to emanate from Spain’s Royal Palace. They uncover clues that ultimately bring them face-to-face with Kirsch’s shocking discovery . . . and the breathtaking truth that has long eluded us.

The tying in of Miller and Urey’s experiment to the need of the universe to spread energy was intriguing. I was left with one question thou; If life evolves because in each step it is becoming better at dissipating heat, does the next step in evolution proposed in the book continue that improvement?
  • Not as good as DC or Inferno

    By great content, poor production
The plot was not as interesting, and the setting in Spain wasn’t as interesting as the other Langdon novels. There wasn’t nearly as much puzzle solving for Langdon as the other books. The content was good though.

After all the thriller books, packed with an unbelievable account of ancient art, and ceremony……. He actually blew all those out the water with his book ‘Original.’ Refuse to give any details away, but I promise you this……….. it is worth reading, best book I have ever read; and 100 percent relative to our modern times!!!!
