Well done compilation of what might have been a very boring subject. Thank you, Mr. Gaiman!

This book was fun to read, not the most accurate to Norse mythology but still worth a read.
  • Delightful!

What a wonderful read! I too have been fascinated by the faery tales from the Norse and to have them rewritten from old texts strips away the whitewashing so common in children’s tales. The way Gaiman teases out the deeper concepts and dilemmas of life amongst the mortals and gods in his descriptive and beautiful writing is like finding the roots of Chaucer and Shakespeare’s wisdom.
  • Amazing Stories!

Reaching beyond moral, the stories told are very entertaining and move our hearts with emotion, primal at times, with wittiness and humor, drama, all with beauty.
  • Norse mythology is amazing!!

overall this book was entertaining and informative, providing great detail regarding the tales of Norse, however the reason my review is not fulfilled to its maximum of five stars is because I expected more info regarding ragnarok.
  • Best Book Ever Read.

I was recommended this book by someone after we talked a bit about Gods. I knew Neil Gaiman from his Coraline book, but this amazed me more and learned more about Norse Mythology in a span of two days of reading. I love this!

I thought this book started a little slow but after the first chapter the book picked up and was hard to put down. The chapters became charming with a sense of humor. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. You can’t seem to go wrong with Neil Gaiman. Highly recommend this book if you’re looking to read something entertaining, funny, and charming with a sense of character charisma that keeps you intrigued.
