What an amazing tale as could only be told by Forester. The depth of the soul and its tortured and twisted vanity is explored in this wonderful novel.

I throughly enjoyed this book. It is an easy read with a fantastic story that is way ahead of its time.

This book is like American Psycho if it had taken place in the Victorian era.

When I tell you that this book gave me more goosebumps than watching a scary movie with the lights turned off, it’s true that this book just did that to me. Definitely a 5 out of 5 experience reading this book! Would recommend to everyone to read it at least once.

Free, but ingenuous to use the cover of the Modern Library version on something that is not. What a mess.
