A crossover nobody expected

We have arrived at Book 4 in the series and if you have not read the first 3 books this will not make a lot of sense. At the end of Book 3 we got introduced to Katerina who grew up rich and entitled and like the boys could shift into a horse. But unlike the boys she did not need Kristiana to wake her up.
This book is different from the others in the series and not in a way that it is bad but it does not take place in Russia or Latvia. Bridget takes us on a journey this time which ends in the USA in a small town called Manila. Now if you have read some books written under her pen name B.E. Baker, you might recognize that name. The way that she has managed to merge characters from different books into this series is absolutely stunning.
Katerina struggles in trying to figure out what is right and what is wrong, but when the world is so different from what you are used to, making that decision gets a lot harder. In this fourth installment we get to know our previous characters even better and are getting introduced to new ones. Gustav brings some turmoil into the story that makes it difficult to put down the book.
I loved this book and when I heard that the original 5 book series is going to become a 6 book series, I was thrilled. I am anxiously awaiting book 5 which is the surprise book in the series and can only recommend this book to anyone; who is excited about adventure, horses, the unending love for family, good laughter, some scenes that make you swallow hard, and great friendship. Not to forget are the obstacles that make this book worth the read because the characters are written in a way that makes you feel like you are there with them, experiencing every hardship and joy with them.
Fun, horse-shifting adventures!

This book follows a similar line of the horse-shifting Russian royalty having been cursed for 100 years. It tells the tale of the mysterious Katerina and you aren’t sure if you hate her or tolerate her for part of the book. The flashbacks of her younger life really help flesh out who she is, why she acts the way she does, and also gives more context to the lives and actions of the other Russians. A main character living in America is introduced into the mix and there is a crossover to Baker’s Birch Creek Ranch series (highly recommend the series!). Daniel AKA Gustav is one of the most relatable characters in the Russian Witch’s Curse series and turns out to be a power player in a way he never dreamt. Another fun read from Baker!
A wonderful continuation of the series!

This was such a fun book to read! I really felt like the characters were relatable and the conflicts seemed so realistic. They took time to resolve, and there were meaningful sacrifices. I felt like there was a bit of a faster pace to this book and there were so many things learned about the world and their past, it was amazing! It was still swoony and funny and all things we can expect from Bridget. I think this might be my favorite so far!!

This fourth installment of the horse shifter books takes you across the pond to America, where we meet a few new characters but still get to read about our favorites from the previous three books in this series. This book keeps you wondering what will happen next and what twist we will see! And leave you wanting to know what happens next!
The crossover we didn’t know we needed

The Russian Witch Curse saga continues as the gang needs to find Kristiana’s brother in the United States and get him to beat Leonid. I really enjoyed this book as Daniel/Gustav is blindsided by the truth of his family right as he’s about to get the desire of his heart, or what he thinks is his heart’s desire. My favorite part of the book though is when we are some beloved characters from B.E. Baker’s Bequests series. We had a tease in The Lookback that there was a relation to the Liepa family but I honestly didn’t expect this. 5 stars all around!!
