I’m not sure why this book is called Not Me… it’s about New Orleans and a serial killer using voodoo to kill his victims. And the standard fbi agent who hasn’t returned to her hometown because of a traumatic past but has to go back there for a case. You know, typical thriller book stuff. It has a lot of typos which got pretty annoying. And some plot holes which were somewhat frustrating. For example, when the police encountered the killer hauling off an unconscious girl and didn’t realize it was him until later, why didn’t those police officers sit down with a sketch artist to describe the killer? And the killer is described at one point as having thin white hair implying he’s an older man, but then later is described by another suspect as having dark hair and muscles? And the back story to the main character Camille was confusing and left unresolved. Is her dad in prison? Why is her mother dead? What happened to her sister? This book left me with more questions than answers but I’m not sure I even care about getting the answers. I don’t think I’ll be continuing with this series.

I loved this book. I was hooked from the very start. bold creates the dark underside of the New Orleans swamps, and the French Quarter so ellegantly you are immediately transported in a way that you have never been before. It helps that I've been to New Orleans before, but, even if you've never set foot there the atmosphere Bold craates is palpable, real, and alive. As are the characters, and situations here. I can't wait to sink into the second one.

I enjoyed reading the suspense of this book. Although it had a few typos, it still peaked my interest to continue reading.

Good read, but the spelling and grammatical errors are many. So many, in fact, that you’re jarred from the story.

The plot was good, characters well developed, interesting look into the voodoo aspect around some killing in the New Orleans area. Only negative was there were quite a few typos and words that autofill put in wrong.

No character development Full of typos Writing is very one dimensional It’s as if the author sat at a coffee shop one day and tried to write an episode of a serial killer show from memory.
  • So many errors

Interesting story but was this book even edited? I noticed at least 10 spelling mistakes/ missing words and it was so distracting
