Description

A swoony firefighter romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

Problem: My ex is marrying my ex-bestie.
Plan A: Burn the church down?
Plan B: Fake marry my friend.

I haven’t seen Archer since fifth grade, but when he shows up in our tiny hometown and offers me a ring, I don’t ask too many questions. It’s a win-win: I get to save face, and I’m not about to turn down the chance to one-up my ex.
All Archer has to do is sell the lie when my ex and his blushing bride roll into town. Easy. Except now I’m fake-married to a ridiculously hot guy who has his own reasons for needing a wife.
I’m too cynical to fall for anyone, but Archer makes that delectably difficult. He keeps saying we’re just pretending, but let me tell you, there are definitely things we are not faking.
This was never supposed to be real. Until he whispers, fall for me.
If you love marriage of convenience, childhood friends to lovers, slow burn romance, a broody secret billionaire, small-town gossip, emotional angst, plenty of steam and swoon, and a fiercely protective hero, Archer & Phoebe’s story is for you!

*A full-length, standalone romance.

Archer and Phoebe’s story of best friends to lovers has definite twists and turns. Had to finish it before falling asleep! Couldn’t put it down.

I can’t make it though this book. Nobody remembers everyone they went to school with at 10 years old. You don’t fall back into friendships that quickly. I couldn’t get past this. I’ve love other books my this author.
  • Where’s the Cheating Ex?

This was like two different books. I thought it was going to be about a man cheating with the now ex- best friend of the main female character (Phoebe). And yes, that was a part of this story but the real story began in the last half of the book. Halfway into the story kept me turning the pages due to the suspense, drama and emotion. I kept wanting to ‘meet’ the cheating boyfriend, he’s discussed a lot but never actually shows up in the book. We do get to ‘meet’ Phoebe’s ex-bestie and learn her wedding is called off… seems like once a cheater, always a cheater. Now, the book takes on a totally new direction with Archer moving back to their hometown. He and Phoebe were inseparable growing up, but at age 11 Archer’s family moved far away. This is where the story gets interesting as secrets are drawn out in the open and a criminal gets exposed and caught in the act.

Fall For Me is another heartwarming romantic book in the series Light My Fire by JH Croix. Phoebe and Archer were best friends who lost touch when they were young. When they get meet again their friendship is still there and they are supporting each other by getting married to help each other out. This book has engaging characters with beautifully written dialogue with an fake wedding and intense situations throughout the story. This story is well worth your time to read it. Loved it!!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
  • Everything happened too fast!

3.5 Stars  This is book 4 in the Light My Fire series and it features Phoebe and Archer. Everything happened so fast in the beginning and then it all fell into place. At least it did for these two.  Childhood best friends, now adults, that are VERY attracted to each other and entering into a marriage of convenience.  The story line is good but not the quality I’ve come to expect from this fabulous author.  It was all just too easy.  There wasn’t enough conflict in the story line.  What conflict there was, was smoothed over much to quietly and quickly .  Regardless, looking forward to whatever comes next for this author.

voluntarily read an arc of this book and am leaving an honest review. I absolutely loved this sweet best friend romance. Archer and Phoebe haven’t seen each other in years but were the best of friends growing up. They lost touch when Archers family moved to be closer to their business. When Archer returns to Alaska, he brings surprises and secrets, but also some new feelings. Archer and Phoebe are electric, I loved their attraction and their decisions. To save the environment and Phoebe’s pride, they agree to marry. How will this work though? Yes they’ve always been friends but Phoebe can tell Archer is hiding something and they’re very attracted to one another. This book deals with very serious subjects but in a sensitive way. These

An amazing heartfelt story! Archer and Phoebe here’s up together and were best friends. Until Archer and his family moved away. Years pass and Phoebe is a hotshot firefighter burned by her ex boyfriend and ex best friend. Archer returns to take over the family’s mine but needs a fake fiancée per the family’s stipulations. Amazing characters, amazing chemistry, drama, heartache, secrets, humor, best friends to lovers, true love, and a HEA.

I loved this story!!! It is a great read that pulls you in from beginning to end, large part due to the characters. They are fantastic and very well written to pull you in and keep you engaged to what is going on and rooting for them to make the right choices and find their happy ending. I loved watching these two build the lasting connection, even though some things went a little backwards, out of sequence, but they just fit together and it was great watching them overcome the obstacles. I loved the banter between them. This was a great story and I can't wait for more in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
