Four and a half stars Homecoming Heartbreaker by Joss Wood is the first in the Moonlight Ridge multiauthor trilogy from Harlequin Desire. Mack Holloway has stayed away from Asheville, North Carolina, for a decade and a half, allowing his feelings of guilt to keep him from his family and first love. Molly Haskell is now manager of the Moonlight Ridge resort, working with charismatic owner Jameson Holloway. When Jameson is felled by a serious health crisis, his sons determine to return home to help the family’s business through the interim. Joss Wood’s writing is vivid and evocative. Mack and Molly’s youthful feelings for each other haven’t faded with time and separation. Ms Wood brings their feelings and worries to life, and we see how much pain they carry as well as how much passion is ready to overflow with the slightest encouragement. Homecoming Heartbreaker is a terrific read, and a great start to this trilogy!
