  • A great series

All in all I’m satisfied with the whole series. If you’ve read the first book and wonder if it’s worth it to continue I would say it’s worth the time I don’t regret the purchase at all. We get a lot more background into Wylan’s character and the story wraps up fairly nicely. I do have a couple gripes. Sometimes I just was getting frustrated because it didn’t seem that the crew was ever going to catch a break it was always one thing or the next. And the ending! I have mixed feelings about how the plot went for some of the characters. Without giving to much away let’s just say some of the characters were put on the back burner and seemed to lack the development a lot of the other characters got? I was a little disappointed about that. But it was definitely still a good read though. I just wish certain characters didn’t turn into some tragic love interest? It seems like a waste of potential in my humble opinion. There’s so much more that could’ve been explored there. Oh well. It still kept me on the edge of my seat. So I’ll give it four stars.

One of my top fav books and duologys i’m gonna miss kaz and the barrel thugs sm💔 this book had many twists and turns and the best planning, but just when everything finished..the ending had to leave us sobbing. This book will always have a place in my heart.

Other bad thing about it is that kaz and inej should’ve had their chance for a relationship. I wish there was a third book that goes into their relationship and what becomes of them
  • Even better the trilogy!

i ate this series up within a week. i was hooked by every twist of the story, by each heart stopping dead end the characters reached, only to be pulled right back out and shoved back into the story. i could not guess how this story was going to end. if what i was reading was real, or if Bardugo herself had pulled the wool over the reader’s own eyes and left them gasping with what was revealed next. truly a fantastic series, and must read. i love these books and wish i would’ve bought physical copies instead.

I’m just gonna say it, this duology is SO much better than the entire Grishaverse series!!! It was great to see the barrel rats show the bosses that you can’t keep’em down. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The pacing was smooth and the story was action packed. There was great banter between the characters and I enjoyed watching their relationships grow and their bonds strengthen. The multicast POV’s were great. It helped individualize each character and each narrator did a phenomenal job with their character.

I genuinely liked the main characters and their journey wether they were together or separate.
