This book was incredibly disappointing. I couldn’t even get through the whole thing, I was so bored. The author jumped into the action too quickly and there was no buildup of suspense in the plot, I just felt like things were happening but it didn’t feel like it was leading to anything. I stopped about halfway through because I had no desire to hear the end of the story, it didn’t pull me in whatsoever. I think it’s a shame because I think it was a great story but it was just written terribly. Overall, wouldn’t recommend :(

I enjoyed experience if Jasmine's story. Wish I could live through her life more in a sequel!

I was able to read an advance of this book...it blew me away. It totally breaks the trend I've been seeing that Teen books are written far below their intended readers level. It challenges political ideas and brings to light the very real and current discussion on immigration. If you want to read something thought provoking and relevant, set to the backdrop of a very classic girl meets boy story, definitely try this book.
