I love this book! Great alpha male and strong female lead. The love and affection that grows between them is beautiful to read. I noticed when reading this version that some of the love scenes are not the same as the paperback version. I prefer the older version, but this read is still fantastic.

I’m glad I chose to purchase “The Devil’s Lady”- it had a good plot, like-able characters, & never felt slow or boring. It was the 2nd book I’ve bought from this author & I liked it a lot more than the 1st one I read- in fact I now plan on buying another one of Deborah’s books & hope I’ll be pleased again. As I learned long ago, sometimes it’s worth giving an author another chance— one book should not make nor break an author😉

If you enjoy reading historical novels this is a must read. Deborah Simmons combines mystery, courage, and romance to pull together a great book.

This was the first time reading a book from this author and she did not disappoint. I couldn’t stop reading it and hated to see the end, I wanted it to keep going. So much mystery.

What a great book. Feel in love with Pier and Ainsley. You will not want to put down.

This author has a talent for mystery. Feeding us clues a little at a time and keeping the reader fully involved in the plot. The characters are well developed and easy to identify with, even the minor characters make sense and add to the story. There are a few sex scenes, but they are classy and add to the story. I like a little smut, so these felt minor to me. Be careful reading bad reviews on Amazon for this story. One reviewer actually spoiled one of the major mysteries in the headline of their review. (I'm still a little steamed about it) I highly recommend this book and I am going to read more by this author.
