This trilogy is real fascinating. The first book hooked me with the character work and the second more with the plot. This had both and my favorite characters from the first book I started loathing in this one and vice versa with the ones I didn’t like at first. Glokta is the MVP much like Tyrion in GoT and I was captivated anytime his chapters came up

While well written, this is one of the most mean-spirited trilogies I’ve ever read all the way to the literal last sentence of the trilogy. This is a trilogy of villains, the only difference is the severity of their villainy. One thing I would like to say is this is not a clone of a song of ice and fire, This is an original story. People that say it was a clone have never the first book or trilogy. I won’t be reading any more books by this author set in this world.
