My brilliant, insightful therapist recommended this book for me. He knew that I would identify with Andie in many ways, from food to family to passion and perseverance. This is a beautiful book, very well written, with a very honest, inspiring, relatable story. I cried more times than I could count reading this, and more than once I thought, "good grief, is this woman my long-lost twin?" I wrote down many passages to revisit as I unpack my reactions with my therapist. Among other observations, it's a beautiful feeling to know that someone else has the same thoughts, feelings, weaknesses, struggles, etc. I would recommend this book to anyone who has struggled with weight, depression, familial upheaval, career direction...It's quite thought-provoking, while still remaining fun and interesting to read.

I found this book somewhat shallow and uninspiring, filled with unimportant minutiae of her life...A product of the social media world in which we live.
