  • A quick read but left something to be desired

I could not relate to the crazy busy, overwhelmed, introspective, burned out picture the author painted. Most people with a relationship with the Lord and common sense should not find themselves even close to this. The last chapter was wonderful, though: "keep God first place, keep the Holy Spirit there all the time and welcome him. Follow peace" eyes on Jesus not on self" I would say spend the time that would've been taken reading this book in the New Testament and prayer - far better results will follow!

DeYoung does not unleash any new or memorable points but for a small quick read this book is helpful to start thinking about busyness's effect on our lives and to go to Jesus for salvation from about chaotic lives. It is far more practical than theological. Most of the book is focused on diagnosing our busyness with some suggestions for avoiding and unhealthy amount of busyness. I wish he spent more time defining his terms and placing some biblical foundations. Use this book to spark interest but toto the Bible or other works to dive into the topic and understand it at a deeper level.
  • Excellent book!

Kevin does a great job identifying heart issues behind busyness and then leads the reader to Jesus...our only true Hope.
