I was very leery at first. It seemed so slow and packed with too many random details. I am so glad I stuck with it. This was a great book and all the seemingly pointless details have points.

I really enjoy a good mystery and particularly one without obvious twists. This de not disappoint!

What an enchanting book. The characters are rich and offer pieces of themselves throughout the book. We root for them as this story unfolds with so many incredible layers. At its heart is a love story and a story of survival like I’ve never read before.

Tragic, hopeless and depressing. Couldn’t wait to finish.

I liked the way the characters were brought to life but I didn’t like the way others were terminated. I was very disappointed with who it glorified in the end. And a friendship that was taken advantage of for decades. I dunno, didn’t sit well with me.

The story so vivid, you felt a part of it.

One of the best books I’ve ever read

Truly one of the best books I have read. Beautifully written, suspenseful and heart wrenching. The endings are such surprises. It feels like three books in one.

It was long but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Lots of characters to keep track of but it all came together in the end. Beautifully written
