Most poetic, thought provoking book I've read in a long time. There are so many levels that are intertwined. Not just a book about our animal companions, but the human condition as well. Wonderful!

This is such a beautiful story. It gives life, all life, value and outlines the ways we are all connected in this life and the next. Personally, it supports my beliefs that all life is precious, and that we have a responsibility to our fellow creatures.

Loved, loved, loved this book. Needed a box of tissues though as it made me very emotional in places :-)
I would definitely recommend this book to all my friends and relatives.

I really enjoyed this book. The right balance between a good gripping story, intelligent matters and captivating characters. A great read overall.

UNSAID will move your soul, not just your heart!
I began to weep quietly before i finished the first paragraph, not because I have such a soft heart which I may or may not have. I wept under the load of the life losses I have experienced both human and animal (?). I have been there as some of each have taken their last breath and I know I am not qualified to judge which is or is not a sentient species.
I was trained and worked in natural resource conservation and management for the federal government for 20 years and one thing I do know is that Homo sapiens are the one species on this planet that have impacted the habitat of every other living species. We have changed everyone's world forever, not always for the best. Is this because we can communicate with ourselves and others? Once again I do not believe I am qualified to judge.

A very touching, well-written book.
It teaches us about the true language of communication and love and how it transcends all the conventional boundaries and preconceived notions.
Thoroughly enjoyed this.

This was an absolutely fantastic book! Best I have read in a long time. Speaks volumes to those of us that have loved and lost, weather human or animal! Could not put it down!

I read this book while grieving the loss of my pet cat Lucy. I needed an understanding of the depth of love people have for their animals. Too many people were just saying to me, she lived a good life, and get another kitty. They didn't get "the hole in my soul" or the real loss there -- that only animal owners know.
This book goes beyond that-- because I believe "disabled" children aren't at all-- they just communicate on a different plane-- one that the animals readily recognize--so the character of Clifford is factual.
It's a great read-- I made the decision to end my cat's life -- I didn't leave it to my vet. The discussion on that helped me tremendously to know-- that it was an act of love-- that I wasn't a coward.
It's intelligent -- especially about coping and grief.

Wow! So very thankful this book was recommended to me by a good friend's mother! I laughed, and I cried, and then cried some more. What a gift of peace.
