This is a cold hard story about pseudo princesses who have no idea how the real world works. They are wrapped up in their one dimensional debutant society living for the next party. The main characters are drifters who desperately need a cause that anchors them—even if the cause is seditious. These women are dull, one dimensional and totally misdirected as they mete out the days of their lives seeking purpose. I kept waiting for the tale to grip me. It never did.
