Wow. Loved it. The story continues, and it keeps getting better and better. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. A true page turner. This one features Katherine and Jake. Can they resurrect a love that started when they were sixteen? Has it been too long since they parted angry at each other? A must read. Enjoy.

Katherine has just finished her training as pediatric emergency physician when her brother TJ calls her to ask her to take care of their mother because he has to disappear due to his employer's involvement in something sinister. Katherine hires her former high school boyfriend, Jake, to fly her to Mexico to help her locate her brother. Although reluctant, Jake agrees to fly her to Mexico so she can locate and help her brother. On their flight to Mexico, their plane goes down in a lightning storm. They lose contact with everyone and have many close calls as they try to get to the area Jake's great grandmother lives in since Katherine guesses that is where TJ has gone to hide. Their attempts to find TJ coincide with what happened to Jake's dad's flight going down in Mexico ten years ago. The suspense is complicated and well planned. The story weaves seamlessly with the efforts of Jake's sister Alicia to determine what happened to their dad in book one of the series. Katherine and Jake's animosity from their breakup years ago gradually disappears as they reconnect and work together to save her brother and renew their relationship. I was provided a copy for my honest review.

Barbara has done it again...She has written another great novel in the Lightning Series. Beautiful Storm & Lightning Lingers are both written well with lots of twists & turns in each book. I can't wait for Summer Rain!!! Barbara Freethy FANatic!
